Keri Hilson's music video for Breaking Point
has recently hit the Web. The Timbaland production serves as the lead
single from Keri's upcoming album entitled "No Boys Allowed" - in stores
later in 2010. I'm not gonna lie, the song has grown a bit on me. Some
people say Keri oversings it but I say she sings it passionately :).
Still, I agree it's a risky choice for single release, especially if
it's the FIRST SINGLE. "Breaking Point" has only managed to peak #87 on
Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. I assume the music video's is
the last big effort to try push the single up on the charts. If it
doesn't get atleast within the Top 20 in the coming weeks, we'll call it
then a certified super flop. Something that would significantly damage
Keri's upcoming album release. Anyways, as for the videoclip, I like it.
It works. BTW, the beauty salon scenes reminds me a lot to Nivea's
"Okay" video. Go google it! Keri trusted on director Bryan Barber to
shoot her clip. He's the guy behind videos such as Outkast's "Hey Ya" or
Destiny's Child's "Girl".
